Kimberlee Sia
Kimberlee Sia is a lifelong learner and educator. Throughout her schooling, she was fortunate to have educators and an amazing mom who recognized her passion for learning and supported her on a path to be the first in her family to attend and graduate from college. After college, Kimberlee became a middle school math teacher and has spent more than 25 years in schools and youth-focused non-profits working directly with students and families.
Kimberlee has been fortunate to engage in the education space as a teacher, principal, district-level administrator, non-profit executive, community leader, and parent volunteer. In each of these roles, Kimberlee has appreciated myriad opportunities to build partnerships with students, families, educators, and communities, work together to improve and sustain positive academic outcomes and well-being for students and staff, and advocate when needed for change that was responsive to those most impacted by the decisions made by community leaders and policymakers. She is inspired by those with whom she has partnered and learned over the years and looks forward to continuing to learn and partner with others in her role as board director.
Kimberlee holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in History and German from Northwestern University and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Organizations from the University of California, Santa Barbara. When Kimberlee isn’t working, you can find her spending time with her husband and two children who attend DPS schools. Kimberlee also enjoys reading, exploring the outdoor beauty of Colorado, and cooking and baking for her family and friends.
